About Fur Angels Dog Rescue

Fur Angels Dog Rescue was founded out of a deep and unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of dogs in need. As the nonprofit sister organization of Sniff and Wiggles, Fur Angels was launched to provide a safe haven for abandoned, neglected, and at-risk dogs—offering them a second chance at life, love, and a forever home.

At the heart of Fur Angels is Michelle Mayclin, owner/operator of Sniff and Wiggles in Petaluma, CA, and a lifelong advocate for animal welfare. With years of experience in dog care, enrichment, and training, Michelle envisioned a rescue that not only saved dogs but also supported them through structured rehabilitation, compassionate fostering, and thoughtful placement. Her vision is rooted in respect for every dog's unique spirit and story.

Our mission

Fur Angels Dog Rescue is dedicated to rescuing dogs from shelters, unsafe conditions, and owner surrenders. We provide each dog with veterinary care, emotional support, and the loving attention they need to heal and thrive. Our mission is to prepare every dog for adoption into a permanent, loving home where they can be cherished as family.

Our values

  • Compassion: We treat every dog with dignity, patience, and care.
  • Transparency: We are committed to honesty with our adopters, fosters, and supporters.
  • Community: We work hand-in-hand with volunteers, donors, and adopters to build a network of kindness.
  • Responsibility: Every placement is made with the dog's lifelong welfare in mind.

Where we work

Fur Angels Dog Rescue operates throughout Sonoma County and the surrounding areas, supported by a network of devoted fosters, volunteers, and veterinary partners.

We are located at 900 Mecham Road, Petaluma, CA 94952.

We believe that every dog matters. Whether old or young, shy or outgoing, each dog deserves a fresh start and a family to call their own. Through Fur Angels Dog Rescue, Michelle and the extended Sniff and Wiggles family are proud to stand up for those who cannot speak for themselves.
